Sunderland are showing interest in young French striker Sehrou Guirassy.

The Shields Gazette reports that the 19-year old, who plays at Ligue 2 club Stade Laval, has emerged on the summer transfer radar of the Black Cats.

The highly-rated Guirassy has already been linked with such clubs as Tottenham, Leeds United, Lille and Saint-Etienne and now Sunderland have been credited with an interest.

Scouts from the north east club reportedly watched Guirassy in action for France U19s against DR Congo this week with the young gun scoring in the 2-0 win.
