French pundit Daniel Riolo hit out at Neymar after his performance against Manchester City last night.

Neymar struggled to make an impact as City reached the Champions League final comfortably.

Riolo later told RMC: "The embodiment of the problem is of course Neymar. First building foundation for Leonardo. Make him change? I do not believe it anymore. He will sign a new contract which will be like a trap for Paris.

"At all levels, his contribution is far from satisfactory. Unable to blend into a collective, he forces the team to adopt a tactic revolving around him. No great team does that. It does not exist.

"The free player is a myth. A fantasy of the 80s.

"Leonardo didn't make him listen to reason and he never will. No one will. It's too late. And every time Neymar makes a nice gesture, scores a great goal, delivers a great match, he will take back a dose of immunity. The problem is that there are a lot more anecdotal matches than important matches in football. And facing Manchester City..."
