French football expert claims Liverpool haven't seen the best of Fabinho

French football expert, Rich Allen, believes Liverpool still have not seen the very best of Brazilian midfielder Fabinho.

The defensive midfielder has been a stalwart since signing for the club two summers ago.

He has even filled in as a centre-half this term, given the injuries sustained by the likes of Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez.

But Allen believes Fabinho is only at 85 to 90 percent of his ability since he arrived in England.

"What I think has been interesting with the Fabinho at Monaco and the Fabinho at Liverpool, is that at Monaco, we saw him get forward a lot more," explained Allen on a special Fabinho podcast from Blood Red.

"He has been hampered this season by having to play out of position and what-not, but he has certainly provided more going forward in the past and Liverpool can look at there being, as silly as it sounds, more to come from Fabinho.

"To have taken up the centre-back position and be OK is to his credit, and what he has shown is his versatility and his commitment, as well as his ability on the ball.

"But I genuinely think there is more to come. I have been quietly impressed with him at Liverpool, but not totally blown away, because he has not had the time in his best position with a regular partner.

"But once that happens, we will see that 100 per cent Fabinho. We are seeing about 85 per cent at the moment which is still very good, but we still have that little bit more to come.

"By giving him a stable midfield, we will see a little bit more from him moving forward."
