Freiburg defender Robin Koch emerging as top Tottenham target

Freiburg defender Robin Koch is emerging as a top summer target for Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho.

The 23-year-old defender, whose contract expires next summer, told Freiburg over the winter that he wouldn't be signing a new deal, says the Daily Express.

Koch's decision opened the door for RB Leipzig to slap in a £13m (€15m) bid back in January with only a last-minute intervention from manager Christian Streich stopping the switch from happening.

Long-term admirers Tottenham remain in the hunt for Koch, who made his senior Germany debut in a friendly against Argentina in October and is now ready to take the next step in his career.

Bild report Tottenham have continued to run the rule over Koch since last year and see him as a potential replacement for Juan Foyth.
