Freiburg have approached Manchester United for fullback Fabio da Silva.
The Daily Mail says discussions between the two clubs are at advanced stages with manager David Moyes reportedly content to let the Brazilian defender leave until the end of the season while he has Patrick Evra and Alex Buttner in reserve.
Fabio's contract expires in June.
