Free agent Bakary Sako has been offered a deal by St Etienne.

The 33 year-old former Wolves and Crystal Palace winger has been training with ASSE's reserves in recent weeks.

Sako was training with ASSE in order to improve his fitness ahead of finding himself a new club in January.

However, Foot Mercato says Sako is now being offered a deal by management to the end of the season.

Sako formerly played for St Etienne between 2009 and 2013.
