France midfield star Paul Pogba wants to write his own history with the national team in the World Cup final.
The last and only time France tasted World Cup success was 20 years ago, in 1998.
Now the latest generation wants to repeat that success by writing their names into the history books.
Croatia were one of the teams France dispatched en route to their success in 1998. And today, Pogba was asked by reporters ahead of the game if revenge would be on the Croats minds.
Pogba said: "Croatia do not have stars - they want one. They have done very well and they want the victory, like us.
"But I do not have a star. It's on the shirt, but I did not win it. We want to go looking for it like all players. It will be a World Cup final, a great match, difficult."
