France assistant coach Guy Stephan says the Tottenham connection between Hugo Lloris and Harry Kame makes it "a match within a match" on Saturday.

Tottenham teammates Lloris and Kane will lead France and England respectively in the World Cup quarterfinal.

"Lloris is going to fight," Stephan said. "I'm not going to tell you any of his secrets. I think he's going to play on Saturday and he's got an amazing record.

"He knows Harry Kane, he knows how he kicks the ball and how he moves on the pitch. We can consider that as a match within a match because they play for the same club.

"They'll be talking to each other when they get back to Tottenham but hopefully one will be more happier than the other!"
