France coach Didier Deschamps was happy with AC Milan striker Olivier Giroud after their win against South Africa.
Giroud scored in the 5-0 win.
"I spoke with him, as with many other players about the present. The future, I don't know," Deschamps said at a press conference. “It will depend on many things. He confirmed that when he is there, he has this ability to score. It's important for him and for the team, then we'll see in June.
“His profile has been known for a long time. He is useful in aerial play.
"He is important even when he doesn't score. I don't ask him for different things from what he's been doing with us for a long time and from what he does with his club."
