Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler is unconvinced by Chelsea's new striker Gonzalo Higuain.
Higuain, 31, will be tasked with the job of downing Manchester City this afternoon to hand Fowler's old club Liverpool in the Premier League title race.
"I'm certainly not getting carried away by a couple of Gonzalo Higuain goals against Huddersfield," Fowler told the Mirror.
"But do I think he is a better bet for Chelsea than Alvaro Morata? Yep, I really do.
"I have to be honest, I'm still to be totally convinced by Higuain, even though his goalscoring record has stood the test of time.
"It's not his prowess in the box that is the issue, but these days top strikers need to bring more to a team than goals… unless they score an absolute shedload. Will he do that? Possibly, but I'm not so sure."
