Inter Milan midfielder Joao Mario remains on the radar of Premier League clubs.

After six months on-loan at West Ham last season, Mario stated his ambition is to return to England, though the summer market shut with the Portugal international still an Inter player.

Calciomercato.com says Mario is still of major interest for English teams as the January market edges closer.

Southampton, Wolverhampton, Leicester City and Fulham are all keen on doing business with Inter for the midfielder.

Mario stated at the end of last season: "Italian football does not go well with my characteristics: in short, any eventuality to Milan and Juventus would not be the result of my personal Inter past.

"The fact is that I do not like Serie A."
