Premier League interest in Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella is intensifying.

The Daily Express says Chelsea and Everton are the latest to show an interest in signing Cagliari's £35million midfielder Barella.

Liverpool and Tottenham have been keeping tabs on Barella since the summer but are now looking at increased competition for him.

Fabinho joined Liverpool in the summer, as well as Naby Keita who arrived in Merseyside after signing the previous year.

Tottenham, on the other hand, did not acquire any new signatures in the summer - the first club to do so since 2003.
