Forster on fire as Celtic beat Rangers in League Cup final

Celtic squeezed past bitter rivals Rangers in the Scottish League Cup Final with a 1-0 win.

Rangers were dominant for long portions of the game, even having a man extra after Jeremie Frimpong was sent off in the 63rd minute.

Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster, on loan from Southampton, was the hero for his side, pulling off a string of sensational saves to preserve his clean sheet.

Rangers missed a penalty in the second half, with Alfredo Morelos failing from the spot.

Despite Steven Gerrard's side putting in a lively and creative display, they were unable to turn their domination into a goal.

Celtic held on and lifted their 10th consecutive domestic trophy.
