Free agent Paul Scharner is still very much on the radar of West Bromwich Albion according to manager Roberto di Matteo.
The 30-year old former Wigan Athletic defender/midfielder has been linked with the Baggies for a few weeks now and di Matteo admitted there was a chance the Belgian could land at The Hawthorns prior to the transfer deadline.
"We are talking to Paul and we will see if there is a possibility to do a deal with him," he said.
"I guess that would conclude our [transfer] business."
