The USA national team has called Cody Cropper into the squad for this week's friendly with Germany.
The 22-year old goalkeeper has reportedly been brought in to replace Nick Rimando for the Wednesday meeting with the World Champions in Cologne.
Cropper, who was released by Southampton last month, recently helped the US U23 team to a third-place finish at the Toulon Tournament in the south of France.
Rimando left Jurgen Klinsmann's roster to return to MLS action with Real Salt Lake following Friday's 4-3 friendly win over Holland in Amsterdam.
