Former Rangers, Huesca striker Novo pondering Kilmarnock move

Nacho Novo is believed to be closing in on a move to Kilmarnock after failing to win a contract with Rangers.

The 34-year old Spanish striker was hoping he could make an Ibrox return after departing Huesca at the end of last season but a potential deal fell through which leaves him training at Killie.

Novo, who has also played with Raith Rovers and Dundee in Scotland, suggests he is now on the verge of signing with Kilmarnock.

"There was a lot of talk about Rangers but the manager never got back to me," Novo told the Daily Record.

"I was disappointed to be treated like that but don't feel I need to prove myself to anybody. Kilmarnock have been great with me.

"I really enjoyed my first day and was made to feel welcome by everyone.

"I have offers and interest from abroad, but my family situation is something I need to consider. I've hardly seen them for three years."
