Former Premier League stars Dempsey, Martins reunite for Seattle Sounders

Former Fulham and Tottenham star Clint Dempsey, and ex-Newcastle United striker Obafemi Martins rediscovered their groove as Seattle Sounders won 2-1 against Toronto FC on Saturday night.

The ex-Premier League pair have barely featured together for the MLS side this season, with a mixture of injuries and national team duties restricting the dynamic duo's output.

Dempsey, starting his first game in 12 matches, set up Martins for the game's opener, before scoring one himself as the Sounders made it three wins in a row.

Martins now has 11 goals for the season, and with his partner in crime back in action, Seattle now look like a team that could cause some real damage come playoff time in October.
