Former Liverpool midfielder Coady excited about Huddersfield move

Former Liverpool midfielder Conor Coady is excited about his move to Huddersfield Town.

Coady moved to the Terriers for a cut-price £500,000.

Speaking to Huddersfield Town's official website, Coady said: "I'm made up; when I heard Huddersfield wanted to sign me, it was immediately interesting.

"The last few days have been very exciting for me. I've been away [in the USA with Liverpool] and I couldn't wait to get home and get the move sorted. I'm really happy to be here.

"I spoke with Brendan Rodgers about his plans and he told me where I stood, which I thanked him for - that's exactly what I needed.

"Huddersfield Town is a fantastic club that has produced some great players. There's real stability here thanks to some very good people. The club has a track record of developing players, so when I heard about the club's interest there was only one place I wanted to come.

"This club has big ambitions, which is something I want to be a part of. I want to help Huddersfield Town progress up the Championship table. With the players that are here, who knows where it can take us?

"It's a very young and athletic team here and it's clear what the club is building. Hopefully I can come in and add to that."
