Former lawyer of Chelsea captain Terry now in Bridge camp

A celebrity lawyer who worked closely with Chelsea captain John Terry has switched camps.

The Daily Mail says the celebrity lawyer who was part of the specialist off-field team that kept wayward England captain Terry in check over a number of years is now working for the Wayne Bridge camp.

Angus McBride is a partner of London law firm Kingsley Napley representing Manchester City's Bridge in the negotiations over his separation from former partner Vanessa Perroncel, whose alleged involvement with Terry is now causing so much controversy.

McBride, whose clients include Madeleine McCann's parents, is trumpeted as "managing and protecting the reputation of individuals subject to either media or criminal investigation".

He had looked after Terry since striking up a friendship with the footballer's former agent, Aaron Lincoln.

It is no coincidence that Terry has run into problems off the pitch since he ruthlessly split with Lincoln last August - just before Terry signed his current Chelsea contract.
