Former Juventus, Bologna star Di Vaio scoops Montreal Impact prize

Marco Di Vaio has been named the Montreal Impact Player of the Year for the 2013 MLS season.

The 37-year old Italian striker starred for the Impact this season, scoring 20 goals in 33 appearances, to finish third on the MLS Golden Boot list.

Di Vaio was voted in for the Giuseppe Saputo Trophy by Impact members as the player who most contributed to the team's success.

The former Juventus, Bologna, Valencia and Genoa man beat goalkeeper Troy Perkins, defender Hassoun Camara and midfielders Patrice Bernier and Justin Mapp to the award.
