Former Chelsea star Bolo Zenden is delighted seeing Frank Lampard succeed as manager.

Chelsea are at Ajax for tonight's Champions League clash.

And Zenden told De Telegraaf of his former Blues teammate: “If you realise your goals, you get respect and a snowball effect is created.

"Frank is intelligent, has a good relationship with the press and was an international.

"The snowball was getting bigger, so did he and his personality."

Zenden is curious about how Chelsea will perform in the busy winter months.

“The bill is then often paid. But Ajax has to work, because Chelsea is still in a fairly positive flow. But let's be honest: it is no longer the Chelsea of a few years ago."
