Swansea have completed the signing of former Chelsea and Hibernian stopper Yves Makabu-Makalambay until the end of the season. The 24-year-old has been training with the Swans on trial for the past three weeks and boss Brendan Rodgers has opted to complete a deal having liked what he has seen.
Makabu-Makalambay, who also worked with Rodgers during the pair's time at Chelsea, was released by Hibs at the end of last season, which he signed for having left Stamford Bridge in 2007 in search of regular first-team football.
He will compete with Dorus De Vries for the number one jersey and goes straight into the squad for Tuesday's Carling Cup third-round match at Peterborough.
