Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes is confident that Barry Robson will remain with the club past this season.
The 35-year old midfielder is out of contract at the Pittodrie this summer but has opened talks regarding an extension which McInnes believes he will sign.
"There's not going to be a problem there. He loves it here," McInnes told the Daily Record.
"He's been instrumental in everything we've done this season already and, as you saw against Dundee United, he covered so much ground.
"He's a winner, a competitor and someone I always want with me.
"We're confident we'll get round to sorting everything out. I don't think there have been any question marks over whether he's going to get a new contract.
"We've spoken to him, although we haven't got round to agreeing anything.
"His performances have been great this season and he's been a pivotal player. We are a better team with him here and I'm sure that will continue to be the case."
Since ex-Scotland international Robson joined the Dons from Sheffield United in June last year, he has made 27 appearances in all competitions, helping his hometown club to the Scottish League Cup this season.
