Ron Vlaar is a target for Italian duo AC Milan and Lazio.

According to the Sunday People, the pair of Serie A clubs are showing plenty of interest in the Dutch defender who is a free agent after finishing his time with Aston Villa at the end of last season.

30-year-old Vlaar has also recently been heavily linked with a possible move to Everton but it appears as though Roberto Martinez has gone cold on that idea.

Vlaar, who has been recovering from a minor knee procedure, has been training with former club AZ Alkmaar in a bid to prove his fitness to any interested clubs.
