Former Arsenal defender Emmanuel Eboue played 90 minutes for Sunderland U21's as he continues his bid to make a return to Premier League.
The 32-year-old has been training with the Black Cats for the past three weeks and played a full game as the U21 side were beaten by their Leicester City counterparts on Monday.
The former Ivorian international has been without a club since Turkish club Galatasaray released him in the summer.
He made more than 200 appearances for the Gunners before his move to Istanbul in 2011 and is now determined to find another club in England's top flight.
