Sunderland are reportedly set to offer former Arsenal defender Emmanuel Eboue a deal at the Stadium of Light.
Italian football reporter and Tribalfootball columnist Emanuele Giulianelli is claiming on Twitter the Ivorian will be the subject of a contract offer by the Premier League club following a successful three-week trial.
It is understood Black Cats manager Sam Allardyce sees Eboue's experience as a valuable asset for his squad as they attempt to steer clear of the relegation zone.
Eboue, who played for Sunderland's U21s on Monday, has not played professionally since he parted ways with Turkish giants Galatasary during the summer.
