Arda Turan has spoken of playing with Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.

Released by Istanbul Basaksehir midseason, Turan remains contracted to Barca.

He declared: "It is not necessary to say anything more about Messi.

"He is the best player I have ever seen. I also admire (Andres) Iniesta, for his on-field skills.

"At Atlético, Koke is a very important player. He has managed to be in the first team with Atletico and has become a leader. I was impressed by his growth."

Turan also said: "Both Fatih Terim and Diego Pablo Simeone are very special technicians. Cholo never gives up. He is a leader and a person full of energy. He can transmit his idea to his players in a very intense way. He is always able to motivate you. For me Carrera, Terim and Simeone are the best."
