Nottingham Forest are waiting on a response from released West Bromwich Albion midfielder Giles Barnes.
The Sun says Barnes has been offered a contract by new Nottingham Forest boss Steve McClaren.
Cardiff City and Doncaster also want former Forest midfielder Barnes, 22, following his release by West Brom.
