Nottingham Forest striker Chris Wood was delighted to get his first goal for the club.
The tall striker, who is on an initial loan that has already been made permanent from Newcastle United, found an equaliser off the bench against Manchester City in the Premier League.
“This goal was a nice consolation," he said, amid talk about no longer being at Newcastle for the Carabao Cup final.
“I'm here to play football and be part of something that is different.
“I've decided to move down here and be part of this fantastic club. Yes, it would have been nice to have played at Wembley but I will be there supporting them (Newcastle).
“It would be nice to receive a winners' medal, but regardless I will be there supporting them because they have done fantastically well this season as a team, as a club. I've got good mates who are still there.
“Any goal is a nice goal for a striker, I'll take them. It's a great point especially against a side like that. It's nice to give one back to the fans, definitely."
