Forest eyeing son of a gun Sydney van Hooijdonk

The son of former footballer Pierre van Hooijdonk is set for a Premier League move.

Van Hooijdonk, who was at Nottingham Forest for two years between 1997 and 1999, was a sharp striker at his peak.

Per The Athletic, Forest are now looking at signing up his son Sydney in the summer.

Van Hooijdonk Jr has scored 16 goals in 31 games for Heerenveen, where he is on loan from Bologna.

The 23-year-old is likely to be sold to raise funds by the Italian club in the summer.

A move to Forest, if they manage to stay in the Premier League, is on the cards.
