Forest boss Cooper decides transfer market priority

Nottingham Forest are expected to move to sign another defender in the winter.

Forest completed more than 20 transfers in the summer after promotion to the Premier League.

However, boss Steve Cooper is not satisfied, and wants to build a squad that can stay up and remain a Premier League club for the long-term.

Given an injury to Giulian Biancone for the rest of the season, and the likely departure of loanee Loic Bade, Forest will act in January.

The Athletic states the club will prioritise a new defender for manager Cooper in the winter.

Forest are presently in 18th position in the Premier League after 15 matches.
