After another crazy week of World Cup Qualifying insanity, normality was finally restored to football as Europe's top leagues kicked back off again. If you can call a world in which Arsenal fell late to Watford and Crystal Palace snapped their losing run against Chelsea, that is. Here are all the stories that mattered from the week that was in football. (In 140 characters or less)

As World Cup Qualifying wrapped up for the week, the list of confirmed nations in the Russia tournament grew longer, with USA, Netherlands, and Chile being the notable absentees that now cannot qualify.

After the madness that was during the qualifiers, the top leagues in Europe finally returned.

The restart of the Premier League saw a huge Manchester United v Liverpool match, that came and went with not much fanfare.
