Southampton skipper Jose Fonte is urging his side to bounce back following their shock Europa League exit in midweek.
The Saints failed to make it to the group stages of Europe's second tier club competition following a 2-1 aggregate loss to FC Midtjylland and the result certainly comes as a huge disappointment for the south coast club.
Southampton's Fonte has admitted that his side were not good enough to qualify but is urging the players to pick themselves up for Sunday's Premier League clash against Norwich City.
Fonte said: "The fact is we need to stand up, because only ourselves can change this situation. We're disappointed, but we have Sunday another game and it's very important. Obviously, we are not happy, we had ambition and we had our goals to be playing European football – we can only blame ourselves.
"There's many reasons we can talk about, but the fact is it wasn't good enough, we need to go back to the drawing board, keep working hard on the training ground, because only ourselves can change the situation."
