Flores disappointed with manner of Watford loss

Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores was left disappointed at the manner of his club's defeat to Preston North End in the Capital One Cup second round tie on Tuesday,

The Hornets succumbed to an 8th-minute strike from Marnick Vermijl, and Flores was left disappointed with the manner of the goal as it was scored from an offensive throw-in.

The Premier League club were also forced to play last fifteen minutes with ten men following a red card to Miguel Britos.

"We are not pleased with the result of course but I think we had different feelings during the game," Flores said.

"In the first half we kept the ball and tried to play. In the second half we had control of the midfield and were really close to the draw.

"We had two or three consecutive attempts but after the sending off it is completely different.

"I don't like to concede goals, including early goals. We conceded a goal from an offensive throw-in. For me this is a big disappointment. We open the defence with these kinds of situations."
