Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has reaffirmed his commitment to coach Manuel Pellegrini. After their Copa elimination by Alcorcon, Perez insists there is no panic at Real.

"If Real Madrid does not win a trophy this season, it is not a failure," he said. "Fabio Capello said recently that a new team needs to develop.

"We need stability. We will not get nervous during the first year of our project.

"We're very comfortable with the squad we have. We need time a coach who is comfortable with these players. Surely Pellegrini will end the season here."
