Fleetwood Town boss Barton admits Marseille ambitions

Fleetwood Town boss Joey Barton admits he'd welcome the chance to take charge of Olympique Marseille in the future.

Marseille coach Andre Villas-Boas is fighting to hold onto his job, though former OM and Newcastle midfielder Barton says an immediate return would be too soon.

Barton declared, “I saw that Mr. (Andoni) Zubizarreta left his post. And the club has been a bit vague since.

"I will have to win a lot of trophies and games first. I have only been training for eighteen months and it takes more for a club of this magnitude. So if that happens in the future, it would be great.

"But I'm going to have a lot of work to do as a coach before I can claim such a position."
