Ambitious Fleetwood Town are moving for Blackpool midfielder Barry Ferguson.

The Daily Mail says former Rangers and Scotland captain Ferguson could drop into English football's fourth tier if he agrees to join League Two new boys Fleetwood Town on loan.

The 34-year-old is club captain at Blackpool but asked to leave Bloomfield Road after being unable to command a regular place and could now join up with former Ibrox team-mate Barry Nicholson at Highbury.
