Flamengo veteran Filipe Luis talks up Deportivo La Coruna return

Flamengo veteran Filipe Luis admits he'd like to coach at Deportivo La Coruna when he retires.

Luis has been training at his old club this month.

He said, "It would be a dream to be able to coach Deportivo ... I am already 38 years old this year and where I play I want to compete to the fullest, I am preparing and it would be a huge dream in the future.

"I have been very happy at Deportivo and lived the best years of my career in La Coruña, we played without pressure and having fun ... I had a team, Arbeloa, Lopo, Coloccini, Manuel Pablo, Sergio, Riki... Deportivo is very big, players like Lucas Perez who want to come play is something very important ... it gives me hope that it will soon become important again in the Segunda and Primera.

"In Deportivo there should be former footballers who already know what the club is, champions and important in the blue and white past to give more power to the lower categories."

Of his time with Atletico Madrid, Luis also said: "The years I spent with Cholo were spectacular, Cholo was something else as a coach, I flew those campaigns with him."
