Flamengo are threatening Arsenal's plans for Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho.

Sport says Barca are happy to negotiate a loan to the north Londoners for the Brazil international.

However, the Premier League side will need to compete for the 29-year-old's signature with a club that he apparently 'loves'.

Flamengo are an attractive proposition to Coutinho, whose Barca contract runs out in 2023.

The former Liverpool midfielder's minders have been in talks with Arsenal chief Edu for some weeks about a return to England in January.
