Flamengo star Gabigol attracting interest from Prem clubs

Flamengo star Gabriel Barbosa, nicknamed Gabigol, is being linked with a move to the Premier League.

The 24-year-old has endured a tough few years, failing to make it at Serie A in Europe following a big money move from Brazil.

He subsequently returned to his home country and has thrived in that environment.

Per The Sun, Barbosa is now ready to make the step-up again, as he believes that he is in better shape physically and mentally.

Speaking with the paper, he said: "I feel at my best moment in my career, in full physical and psychological evolution.

"I am aware that I have to improve and that I can still evolve even more in the coming years, becoming an even more efficient striker.

"I am working my body and mind daily to achieve these goals.

"My bad experiences with Inter Milan and Benfica have made me stronger. It is in these moments that we grow up.

"What I will do differently now is to evaluate the next steps in my career with more care."
