Flamengo president Rodolfo Landim has announced they're keen to sign permanently Gabriel Barbosa.

The on-loan Inter Milan striker struck twice in the Copa Libertadores final victory over River Plate last weekend.

Landim told TMW: "We are here and we have already let Inter know.

"The negotiations between the two clubs are underway and we cannot talk about details here, but I can tell you that we are obviously very happy with the contribution Gabigol has given us."

He also said: "We are very happy with his performance, Gabriel has been invaluable this season with his goals, his assists and his play. On the other hand, when one scores 31 goals and the season is not over yet..."
