Flamengo president Rodolfo Landim insists they want to keep hold of Inter Milan striker Gabriel Barbosa.

But any decision won't be made until after the Club World Cup.

“Flamengo have already gone far enough in the negotiations with Inter and we have a preliminary agreement on the value of the player," Landim told Torcedores.

“We needed to talk to him, and we started the conversation, but right now there's no agreement.

“We decided to talk again at the end of the season and the end of the season will now end with the Club World Cup.

“He will be more able to answer this question than me. We are interested in keeping him here.

“When you decide, you don't only decide in the moment but also with regards to the future, in respect of the career you want to have.

“It will depend on him, but we haven't talked to him about a definite decision."
