Flamengo sports chief Bruno Spindel has urged AC Milan to be patient with Lucas Paqueta.
The midfielder was linked with a move away in January after a disappointing first-half of the season.
But Spindel told TMW: “We haven't had any contact. He is a great footballer. He will demonstrate his value, we are convinced of it.
"He will do great things with Milan as soon as he adapts to Serie A. He has talent. It will be asserted."
Spindel also confirmed trying to sign Mario Balotelli before he was snapped up by Brescia last summer.
He added: "We talked about it ... we were interested. We also had a pleasant conversation. Then he made other choices. We respect Balotelli's personal decision."
