Fiorentina striker Giovanni Simeone has opened the door to joining his father's Atletico Madrid.

Simeone is the son of Atletico coach Diego Simeone and being celebrated in Italy this week after his superb hat-trick in the Viola's rout of Napoli of Sunday.

Don Balon says the Argentine forward is being discussed at Atletico as a replacement for Fernando Torres, who is leaving at the end of this season.

Giovanni is well aware of the rumours and admits playing for his father would not intimidate him.

"Who would not like to be trained by one of the best in the world?" he smiled when asked about the prospect of moving to Madrid this summer.
