Fiorentina striker Giuseppe Rossi hopes to make Italy's World Cup squad.

Rossi is recovering from a knee injury suffered last month.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated, Rossi admitted: "I'm continuing the rehabilitation day by day and the recovering is going well. I'll need time again, but I feel good. It's hard not being able to enter the pitch.

"My aim is to come back in action before the end of the season, to play in the Italian league and then the World Cup in Brazil."
