Fiorentina rout managerless Genoa 6-0 - Vlahovic misses pen

Fiorentina thrashed managerless Genoa 6-0 on Monday night - with Dusan Vlahovic failing from the penalty spot.

Genoa went into the game having tsacked Andriy Shevchenko on Sunday.

Fiorentina had an early chance to take the lead after a foul on Riccardo Saponara inside the Genoa penalty area. However, Vlahovic's panenka was saved by Salvatore Sirigu.

But then the floodgates opened as Alvaro Odriozola and Giacomo Bonaventura before Cristiano Biraghi scored a wonderful free kick to send the Viola 3-0 ahead at halftime.

Vlahovic scored after the break, apologising to home fans as he celebrated.

Biraghi scored his second free kick of the match in the 69th minute, giving the Viola a 5-0 lead.

Then Lucas Torreira rounded off the scoring in the 77th minute as he made it 6-0.
