Fiorentina's new season plans have been rocked by a knee injury suffered by Stevan Jovetic.

The striker has been ruled out for six months.

"We are all shocked. I spoke to Stevan and he is crushed," revealed patron Andrea Della Valle.

"However, we will wait as long as it takes for a champion like him. This sort of thing has happened to many great players. He is very young and will be back before the end of winter."
