Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso has declared the Artemio Franchi must be "demolished".

Commisso is adamant a new stadium is needed for the club to push forward.

He said, “The stadium must be demolished and built again, as it was done for Yankee Stadium. If they want to use my money [that's what I want to do], otherwise, with their money, they can do what they want.

“There's too much criticism, too many parrot columnists. Whatever we do is not good, I'm disappointed by the journalists. I think the fans still love Fiorentina, I'm just asking for time," he continued.

“It's a historic time when many clubs are in danger of going into bankruptcy. I can guarantee that as long as there is Rocco here no one will have to fear that Fiorentina go bankrupt."
