Fiorentina are pleased with the progress of talks with Chelsea fullback Davide Zappacosta.
After last season's spell on-loan with Genoa, Zappacosta is being lined up for a Serie A return by Fiorentina.
TMW says an agreement is close, though everything will depend on Pol Lirola.
Should Lirola complete his move to Olympique Marseille, then Fiorentina will move to replace him with Italian fullback Zappacosta.
OM and Fiorentina have agreed a €12m fee for Lirola and only the method of payment now needs to be settled.
Last season, Zappacosta shone with Genoa, playing 25 games and scoring four goals from wing-back. He also produced two assists. He was played primarily at wing-back for Genoa, though also turned out at left-back. At Chelsea he is now inside the final year of his current contract, having joined in 2017 from Torino.
The 29 year-old also boasts 13 caps with Italy.
