Fiorentina patron Rocco Commisso has heaped praise on coach Beppe Iachini.

Commisso has confirmed Iachini for next season.

“We did well with Iachini," Commisso said at a press conference. “We had a great defence and we finished above many teams that are talked about a lot, including catching up with [Ivan] Juric's Verona, who have been talked about a lot.

“The difference that Iachini made was substantial, when one has the opportunity to work with me and achieves the objectives, it's right that he deserves reconfirmation.

“I don't understand the Florentines who didn't want Iachini's confirmation, also because the decision is made in agreement with the fans."
